Pharmacies set to resume distribution of methadone
Pharmacies in Dublin and Wicklow are set to resume providing methadone to heroin addicts today.
Around 140 pharmacists had been refusing to take part in the scheme since last Monday because of a dispute with the HSE over the price it pays for wholesale medicines.
However, the Irish Pharmaceutical Union has recommended that they end the protest following indications that talks on the issue will take place in the coming days.
