Man still in custody over Limerick shooting

Gardaí in Limerick continue to question a man following a shooting incident in the city yesterday.

A number of shots were fired through the sunroof of a car in the Shelbourne Road area just before 5pm yesterday evening.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Members of the Emergency Response Unit, who were on patrol in the area at the time, arrested three men.

Two of them were released without charge late last night and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
