DUP-SDLP rift to dominate Executive meeting
A growing row between the DUP and SDLP minister Margaret Ritchie is expected to dominate proceedings when the Northern Executive meets later today.
Ms Ritchie, the Minister for Social Development, has attracted the ire of the unionist party after withdrawing more than £1m (€1.48m) in British Government funding for the UDA.
DUP deputy leader Peter Robinson has accused her of ignoring legal advice on the matter and breaking her pledge of office.
However, she is standing over her decision and SDLP leader Mark Durkan has accused Mr Robinson of being a hypocrite and a bully.
