Man due in court over fatal stabbing in Co Tipperary

A 30-year-old man is due to be brought before the courts in Co Tipperary this morning in connection with the fatal stabbing of a young woman near Cahir.

A 30-year-old man is due to be brought before the courts in Co Tipperary this morning in connection with the fatal stabbing of a young woman near Cahir.

Twenty-year-old Joanne Mangan, from Newcastle, was stabbed to death during an incident at a house in Ballnamuddagh, near Grange, early yesterday morning.

Her 23-year-old brother Eddie was also seriously injured during the incident.

The man due in court in Cashel today was arrested shortly after the stabbings.
