Two arrested in Dublin in connection with heroin seizure

Two people have been arrested in two separate locations in Dublin following the seizure of what's thought to be heroin with an estimated street value of one million euro.

Two people have been arrested in two separate locations in Dublin following the seizure of what's thought to be heroin with an estimated street value of €1m.

The arrests were made yesterday afternoon.

A man was stopped and searched in the Finglas area of the city, while in the south inner city a woman was searched and detained in a follow-up operation.

Both are being held separately at Finglas and Kevin Street Garda stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

They can be held for up to seven days without charge.
