Man held after eight-kilo heroin seizure in Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with a significant heroin seizure in the west of the city last night.

More than eight kilos of the drug were recovered when a car was stopped on the Outer Ring Road in Clondalkin at around 7pm following a surveillance operation.

Gardaí say the drugs could be worth up to €2m.
