Search resumes for missing diver

The Coastguard has this morning resumed its search for a diver who has been missing off the west coast since yesterday.

The alarm was raised shortly after 4pm when the man failed to return to his dive boat off Killary Harbour along with the rest of his party.

A rescue effort was mounted immediately, but was called off as darkness fell at around 7pm.

Naval divers are expected to join the search today.
