Man taken to alley and shot

A man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and both knees, police in the North said have reported.

The 30-year-old man was shot in the Springfield Park area of Strabane shortly before 10pm yesterday.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said three men wearing balaclavas entered the front of a house while three others approached from the rear.

The victim was then taken to a nearby alleyway where he was shot.

Two of the men then drove off in a white van while the four others left on foot, heading in different directions.
