Raids carried out in hunt for gang that shot Garda

Gardaí have carried out a series of raids as part of their hunt for the armed gang that shot Garda Paul Sherlock.

Yesterday, detectives questioned a number of people they believe could have information about the attack.

The 34-year-old garda was shot in the stomach on Tuesday morning after stopping a stolen car in the North Strand area of Dublin.

Senior officers are reportedly satisfied that an inner-city Dublin gang was responsible for the shooting and have compiled a shortlist of potential suspects.
