A helicopter has been forced to make an emergency landing in Dublin this afternoon.

The incident happened at around midday when the pilot of a small four seat helicopter lost power near University College Dublin.

The pilot, who was the only person in the helicopter at the time, made an emergency landing in the sports grounds of the Belfield campus.

Air Accident Investigation Unit Inspector Graham Liddy says the pilot had a lucky escape.
