Take your Grandparents to the Park day today

People are being encouraged to spend time with their grandparents today.

Support group Friends of the Elderly has organised a number of events to celebrate the role of the grandparent.

'Grandparents Day' is to include a fun run in the Phoenix Park and a Sunday stroll in St. Stephen's Green.

Those outside of Dublin are being encouraged to go to their local park and enjoy the day.
