Gardaí name man crushed to death

Gardaí have named the man who was crushed to death in a refuse truck earlier this week.

The body of Kevin Fitzpatrick was found at a recycling centre in the city on Monday.

A post mortem revealed the 36-year-old had been crushed to death inside a refuse truck.

Gardaí believe he probably climbed into a covered skip to take refuge for the night before the bin was emptied into the back of the lorry.

Mr Fitzpatrick was originally from Derbyshire in England, but had been living in Ireland for the past seven years.
