Disaffected unionists discuss formation of new party

Unionists opposed to sharing power with Sinn Féin have held an exploratory meeting to discuss forming a new party.

Independent MEP Jim Allister, who left the DUP over the devolution deal, was among those at the talks yesterday in the staunchly loyalist village of Moygashel in Co Tyrone.

Robin Sterling and Leslie Cubitt, two former DUP councillors, were also among those in attendance.
