Man dies after Cork crash

A 54-year-old was killed after a car crash on the N20 Mallow to Cork road.

The accident happened just after 10 last night at Rathduff when the car he was driving collided with a crane on the hard shoulder and burst into flames.

The road was closed off following the accident and diversions were in place.

The victim was the third person to have been killed on the roads yesterday.

Two other men were killed in separate car crashes in Wexford and Waterford.
