Three people rescued off south-west coast
A couple, whose catamaran got into difficulty near rocks at Dingle, were brought to shore at around 9pm last night.
The Shannon Helicopter, the Dingle Coastguard and a local vessel were involved in the operation.
A short time later, a fisherman was airlifted from a vessel off the coast of Cork.
It is understood he had badly injured his arm on board the ship, and he is now being treated at Cork University Hospital.
