Ryanair plans legal challenge to Dublin terminal

Ryanair has confirmed its intention to mount a legal challenge against An Bord Pleanála's decision to approve the second terminal for Dublin Airport.

The terminal is due to be built by the Dublin Airport Authority, which has described the Ryanair move as "regrettable, but not unexpected".

The DAA claims the challenge is motivated by "narrow self-interest".

However, Ryanair claims passengers will be forced to carry the "excessive" cost of the new facility.

Ryanair had proposed building an independent low-cost terminal.
