Ryanair has confirmed that it is to challenge An Bord Pleanala's decision to approve the construction of the second terminal at Dublin Airport.

Ryanair has confirmed that it is to challenge An Bord Pleanala's decision to approve the construction of the second terminal at Dublin Airport.

The no-frills carrier will challenge what it describes as "a politically motivated decision" at the High Court.

In a statement, the company says it's confident that the courts will overturn the approval and force the Dublin Airport Authority to build facilities that comply with planning regulations and the requirements of users.
