Belfast sectarian attacks targeting Protestant homes

A Protestant father says his 18-month-old baby could have been killed in a sectarian petrol bomb attack across the peaceline in north Belfast.

Two houses in the Twaddell Avenue area suffered scorch damage when a number of petrol bombs were thrown late last night.

There were no injuries, but one man says his baby could have been killed if one of the devices had come through the window.

Community workers on both sides of the peaceline say they are redoubling their efforts to stop such sporadic attacks.
