Sinn Féin has today called for the disbandment of the Garda Special Branch in a new set of proposals relating to the policing in the Republic.

Sinn Féin has today called for the disbandment of the Garda Special Branch in a new set of proposals relating to the policing in the Republic.

The party says all Special Branch members should be re-trained and re-deployed to other policing duties.
