Man due in court in connection with Cork stabbing

A 27-year-old Corkman is due in court this morning in connection with a fatal stabbing on the southside of the city in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Twenty-four-year-old father-of-two Brian McKee, who was from the Mahon area, died after being stabbed a number of times.

The man due in court today was arrested on Saturday and charged last night in connection with the killing.

Meanwhile, gardaí are continuing to hold a second man arrested yesterday morning in connection with the case.

The 24-year-old was detained in Mayfield and must be charged or released by this morning.
