Second man arrested in connection with fatal stabbing

Gardaí in Cork have arrested a second man in connection with a fatal stabbing in the city.

The suspect, whom gardaí said was in his early 20s, was picked up in the Mayfield area around 4am this morning.

He is being questioned in relation to the death of 24-year-old Brian McKee who died from his injuries in the University Hospital.

Detectives have also extended the period of detention of a 27-year-old man who was arrested yesterday in connection with the murder.
