Seven injured in two-car collision

Seven people have been injured, some seriously, following a two-car crash in Co Cavan.

It happened on the Cavan Bypass about at 22.15pm last night.

The road is still blocked following the collision from the Dublin Road to the Cootehill Road turn-off.

Traffic is being diverted into Cavan via the Cootehill.

The AA says the section of the road is not expected to re-open until at least 1pm today.
