Three still in custody over attempted security van raid

Gardaí are continuing to question three people in connection with an attempted raid on a cash-in-transit van in south Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí are continuing to question three people in connection with an attempted raid on a cash-in-transit van in south Dublin yesterday.

The van was delivering money to an ATM in Sandyford Business Park when it was approached by armed men.

However, gardaí were lying in wait and arrested three men in their 20s and 30s at the scene.

They remain in custody in Blackrock, Dun Laoghaire and Dundrum this morning.
