Crashes cause delays in Clare, Cork and Wexford
Three crashes have caused major traffic disruption this morning for motorists in Clare, Cork and Wexford.
Commuters travelling between Galway and Limerick were seriously delayed after a truck crashed into the Crusheen Bridge just north of Ennis in Co Clare.
A single-lane system was put in place, but gardaí said they expected to have the road cleared by 10am.
In Co Cork, meanwhile, a truck overturned at a roundabout on the Dublin Road in Mitchelstown, disrupting traffic in the area.
The N25 between Waterford and New Ross has also been completely blocked following a serious crash at the top of Glenmore Hill near Murphy's Garage.
The incident is likely to cause major delays as there are few options for diversions.
Heavy goods vehicles are likely to be diverted via Thomastown, which could add hours to the journey.
