Tests being carried out on skull found in Dublin garden

Tests are being carried out today on a human skull found wrapped in a plastic bag at the rear of a rented house in south Dublin yesterday.

The skull was found by a tenant who was cleaning out the garden of the house at the Orlagh Grove estate in Knocklyon.

Initial examinations suggest it is that of an adult male and could have lain undiscovered in undergrowth for a number of years.

The Gardai are believed to be investigating the possibility that the skull may be that of Kenyan man Farah Swaleh Noor, who was killed and decapitated by Dublin sisters Charlotte and Linda Mulhall in 2005.

His head has never been found.
