Spanish police question man over death of Irish teenager

Authorities in Spain have arrested a local man on the Canary Islands in connection with the death of an 18-year-old Dublin man in Lanzarote almost a fortnight ago.

The Spanish national is being detained in connection with the assault on Derek Cumiskey from Pearse Street, who died outside a restaurant in Puerto del Carmen.

Police in Lanzarote are now said to be confident of apprehending a number of other suspects in connection with the attack.
