Investigation launched after skull found in Dublin garden
An Investigation was launched this afternoon after a human skull was found in a garden in Rathfarnham, South Dublin.
The discovery was made by a person who was clearing undergrowth in the garden at Orlagh Grove Estate.
The skull – which is believed to be that of an adult male - is not thought to be very old, and could have been there for just a short number of years.
No other human bones were found at the scene, which has now been sealed off for forensic tests.
The State Pathologist Marie Cassidy has been notified, and will examine the skull at a later stage.
