Ahern urged to stop funding loyalist community project
The mother of a murdered Belfast teenager is appealing to the Taoiseach to stop funding a loyalist community project in north Belfast.
Fifteen-year-old Thomas Devlin was stabbed to death while walking home with friends in August 2005.
His mother, Penny Holloway, says people in the loyalist Mount Vernon estate are harbouring the killers and the Irish Government has sent out the wrong message by funding the local community group.
She says the funding gives the impression that loyalists in Mount Vernon have changed their ways, when they have not.
