Minister criticised for under estimating impact of Aer Lingus decision
Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey (pictured) is being castigated for claiming that the impact of the loss of the Shannon-Heathrow route to the mid-west region is being exaggerated.
Clare county councillors are being briefed by their mayor Patricia McCarthy this afternoon.
She said that she will be spelling out exactly what damage will be caused by the Aer Lingus decision and she will be asking them to put their weight behind efforts to reverse it despite the fact that Noel Dempsey says Aer Lingus won't reconsider.
