Appeal body approves €300m marina scheme in Greystones

An Bord Pleanala has granted permission for a €300m marina development in Greystone, Co Wicklow.

The scheme has been approved subject to 13 conditions, including the redesign of roads and re-nourishing the beach from the sea every year.

The public-private development, which involves Wicklow County Council, was bitterly opposed by locals residents.
