Labour urges Aer Lingus to reverse Shannon decision
The Labour Party is calling on Aer Lingus to reverse its decision to end the Shannon to London route.
This follows warnings from at least two companies in the Shannon region that the withdrawal of the route could force them out of business.
Labour's Jan O'Sullivan says as a shareholder in Aer Lingus, the Government should be pressuring the airline to retain some type of service between Shannon and London.
The Limerick East TD says a pullout could have a huge effect on jobs in the region.
