Elderly woman and teenager rescued from Carrantuohill

An elderly woman and teenager have been rescued from Carrantuohill in Co Kerry overnight.

The pair, who were among a party of climbers on the mountain, were reported missing at around 7.30pm yesterday.

A search and rescue operation was immediately mounted and the two were eventually located at around 2am this morning.

Both are said to be in good health.
