A man is recovering in hospital this morning after being shot in the leg in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, early this morning.

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after being shot in the leg in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, early this morning.

The incident happened at Gas House Bridge on the Waterford Road shortly after midnight.

The victim was taken to Clonmel General Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
