Talks convene at the Labour Relations Commission on Monday to find a resolution to a sit-in protest by staff at Reilly Bookbinders in Wicklow town.

Fine Gael has demanded an acceptable redundancy package to be secured and for due recognition to be given to the nature of the work carried out by the firm on behalf of state agencies.

Workers have been protesting since last week, when it was announced the firm would close with immediate effect.

New redundancy terms, put forward by the company, were rejected by workers yesterday.
