Girls outperforming boys in Junior and Leaving Cert

Girls are continuing to outperform boys in both the Junior and Leaving Cert and the gap is continuing to widen, according to a new report from the Department of Education.

The report also reveals that boys account for two-thirds of early school leavers and that females outnumber males students in higher-level education.
