Young woman dies in overnight house fire in Dublin

A woman in her 20s has died in an overnight house fire in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin.

Another woman and three children are also in hospital following the blaze on Oranmore Road, which broke out at around midnight.

The three children are in a stable condition at Crumlin Hospital, while the other woman is stable but serious at St James's.

A garda who attended the scene is believed to have suffered smoke inhalation, while a neighbour who tried to help the occupants also received minor burns.
