Tough anti-litter measures to be introduced

A package of anti-litter measures will be announced later today.

Minister for the Environment John Gormley is aiming to sweep up the country's rubbish problem with the tough new rules.

They include hitting litter bugs with fines and more funding to tackle problem areas.

Latest litter statistics will also be revealed at the launch in the Department of Environment, Custom House.
