Policeman shot in North
A police officer in the North was shot during disturbances in Co Antrim.
The man was taken to hospital but his condition is not life-threatening.
Police were called to Castlemara Drive at about 10.30pm last night following reports that a number of cars had moved into the area and tensions were mounting between different loyalist groups.
Another man has been taken to hospital following a serious assault during the stand-off, his condition is not known.
Three men stopped in a car in the Carrickfergus area were arrested under terrorist legislation.
