Wicklow family shot dead to be buried today

The three people found shot dead at their home in Co Wicklow earlier this week are due to be laid to rest later today.

Gardaí are still trying to determine why 43-year-old Patrick Sleator killed his elderly parents - John Joe and Mary - before turning the gun on himself.

They admit that the reason for the shootings may never be known.

The three were found dead on Monday in the farmhouse where they lived in the village of Grangecon.

They are due to be buried today following funeral mass at St Oliver Plunkett Church in Grangecon.
