The removals of the three members of the Sleator family who were found dead in their Co Wicklow home on Monday are due to take place this evening.

Gardaí are still trying to establish what prompted 43-year-old Patrick Sleator to shoot his parents, John Joe and Mary, before turning a gun on himself at their home near Baltinglass last weekend.

A large crowd of mourners, including the Sleators' daughters Deirdre and Carol, are expected to gather at St Oliver Plunkett Church in Grangecon for this evening's ceremony.

All three victims will be buried together tomorrow close to the house they shared in the village.
