Shell to Sea blocks access to Corrib gas refinery site

Shell to Sea demonstrators say they have blocked access to the site of the Corrib gas refinery being built in north Co Mayo this morning.

The protest group says two people have chained themselves to a parked vehicle at the entrance to the site.

Gardaí say there is an incident underway at Bellanaboy, but have refused to provide further information.

Protests have been taking place for more than five years against the location of the Shell refinery in Bellanaboy.
