Youth organisation calls for alcohol tax hike

A leading youth organisation has called on the Government to raise taxes on alcohol in an effort to cut alcohol abuse.

Youth Work Ireland, the umbrella group for voluntary youth services, said the Government should learn from the Conservative Party in Britain, which is demanding similar action in the UK.
