Sargent to pick up eco-friendly eBay car

Green Party leader Trevor Sargent will today pick up his eco-friendly ministerial car bought on eBay.

The Toyota Prius was formerly owned by party colleague and ex-Mayor of Galway Niall O'Brolchain.

The car, which was auctioned for charity, will be used for Mr Sargent’s official duties in his role as Junior Minister for Food and Horticulture.

Mr O Brolchain will hand over the keys outside Government Buildings at 10am.
