Three people remain in a serious condition in hospital following Thursday's plane crash in Galway.

Three people remain in a serious condition in hospital following Thursday's plane crash in Galway.

The Air Accident Investigation Unit will continue to examine the aircraft today to determine what caused the accident.

Two people, including the pilot, were killed when the plane failed to land on the runway in south Connemara on Thursday afternoon.

The seven others on board were injured.

Investigators have said that a preliminary report on the accident should be completed within 30 days.
