The jury in the trial at the Central Criminal Court of a Mayo man on 35 charges of raping and sexually assaulting a child more than 20 years ago has been sent to a hotel overnight.

The jury in the trial at the Central Criminal Court of a Mayo man on 35 charges of raping and sexually assaulting a child more than 20 years ago has been sent to a hotel overnight.

Mr Justice Peter Charleton sent the jury to an hotel on day four of the hearing after it had been deliberating for less than two hours without reaching a verdict on any of the counts still before it.
