ICTU campaign for smaller classes steps up a gear

A campaign by teaching unions for smaller class sizes and better resources has moved up a gear.

Delegates at the Irish Congress of Trade Unions conference have unanimously passed a motion to fight for more funding for secondary schools.

ICTU will now lobby the government on the issue.

Recent reports put Ireland at the bottom of the list of OECD countries for spending on education.
