Taoiseach congratulates new PM

The Taoiseach has conveyed his best wishes to the newly appointed British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown.

In a statement released this afternoon, Bertie Ahern said he's looking forward to developing their relationship in what he described as a "new era in British-Irish relations".
