Teenager charged over fatal stabbing of 14-year-old in Ennis
A teenager is due in court today in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in Co Clare over the weekend.
The victim, Michael Doherty, was stabbed in the chest on O'Connell Street in Ennis just before 11pm on Saturday night.
Gardaí charged a 17-year-old in connection with the incident last night and are due to bring him before the local District Court today.
Meanwhile, three men are still in custody in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 44-year-old man in Carlingford, Co Louth, yesterday afternoon.
The victim, a local man, was found dead in a caravan in the Mountain Park area.
Three other local men aged 28, 29 and 46 were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody today at Dundalk Garda Station.
