The ICSA has become the latest organisation to welcome the collapse of G4 talks aimed at reaching agreement on WTO cuts for farmers.

The ICSA has become the latest organisation to welcome the collapse of G4 talks aimed at reaching agreement on WTO cuts for farmers.

The Association claims the talks collapsed because the EU was the only one of the four major negotiating partners that was actively selling out its farmers.

General Secretary of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association, Eddie Punch described the collapse as a temporary relief to European farmers

"Our view is that already Europe has conceded far too much and if a deal goes ahead it will be to the detriment of farmers in Europe," he said.
