Five arrested in operation targeting organised crime

Gardaí in Waterford have arrested four men and woman as part of a long-running nationwide operation targeting organised criminals.

The arrests were made under Operation Anvil yesterday morning, but were only disclosed today.

The detainees are aged between their late 20s and early 50s and are being held at various Garda stations in Waterford.

No further details have been released.
